Born and raised in Springfield IL. Has lived and worked in St. Louis for the past three years as a high school counselor at St. John Vianney High School. Fourth year of coaching at the high school level, 1 year at Sycamore High School in Cincinnati OH and three years at Vianney.
Played two years at Parkland College in Champaign IL as a pitcher and outfielder and then attended and played at the University of Tennessee at Martin. After college he spent one season in the South Australia Baseball League where his team won the league championship and he was named MVP of the league.
